See The Point Darling – Bids on 28th May.

See The Point Darling – An Exhibition and Auction.

#seethepointdarling

The Framery, 67g Regent Road, Sea Point.

The Exhibition is currently on and features the artwork of some of our most loved actors, writers, choreographers, singers and directors.

Godfrey Johnson and Debbie Grewe have decided to collaborate and co curate a fun exhibition intended to help raise funds for the Darling Trust and the Sea Point High School Art department. We would like the See The Point Darling concept to continue for years to come. This is the first one and we are overwhelmed by the generosity of all the artists.

Debbie’s favorite quote, “We are all artists.”

The Exhibition has been extended until the 7th May. Please go and view the wonderful work, have fun and bid with Debbie at the gallery or directly with me at gmmusic@telkomsa.net

Stories of Crime and Passion – The Photoshoot

Wednesday night was great – Jono organised a great bunch of people for a photoshoot for Stories of Crime and Passion. I’m really touched by the people who gave their time to help us out so generously.

Jono had me in the foreground looking moody and artistic while in the background his friends played characters from the songs I’m going to be performing. There were cowboys, showgirls, soldiers, punk waifs and summer loves. We had to shoot fast so a lot of credit to Jon Minster the photographer who whipped up the energy and kept everything on track.

Big thanks to Jon Mister, Oskar Brown, Kate Reddick, Katrina Jordaan, Merryn Carver, Kim Kerfoot, Jason Potgieter, Darron Araujo,  Juliet Jenkin and Carla Lever. Not mention the Yawazzi boys, Jono and Sanjin.

Once Jono has finished fooling around with the pictures I’ll post more.

Much love,

Godfrey
